Sherwood Duck represents the history that makes up Redbird OSRA today. It began in the “Valley of two Tipples,” containing the Friar Tuck mine Tipple, the New Hope Mine Tipple, and the Antioch Power Plant, the first coal fire–burning plant of its kind. This valley had tons of firsts and those continue with Redbird OSRA. This is a state-owned off-roading property with endless hills and valleys thanks to the mining operations of the past. Take Sherwood for a ride with you on one of Redbird’s many trails and check out the rich history that created the park today.
